Big feelings are a natural part of childhood.
And supporting them doesn’t require fixing, forcing calm, or having all the answers in the moment.
Gentle Tools for Big Feelings is a nurturing, practical workshop designed to offer parents simple, grounded tools they can return to over time, supporting emotional awareness, regulation, and connection within the family.
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to EFT tapping as a gentle, body-based tool that can support emotional regulation in children. You’ll learn what tapping is, how it works, and how it can be adapted in age-appropriate, child-friendly ways.
Parents will also be guided through a live tapping demonstration, offering the opportunity to experience the practice in their own body. This helps you understand how tapping feels, how it supports the nervous system, and how it might be integrated gently at home.
Alongside this, you’ll explore herbal support for calm, including an introduction to a small selection of calming herbs, simple daily rituals, and a soothing tea tasting. These practices are designed to be accessible, gentle, and easy to weave into everyday family life. If you would like to know more about Nik, please visit her website here.
This workshop is not about responding perfectly in moments of emotional overwhelm.
It’s about building a supportive toolkit you can draw from as and when it feels right.
You’ll leave with:
• A clearer understanding of EFT tapping and how it can support children
• First-hand experience of tapping through a guided demo
• Knowledge of gentle herbal supports and calming rituals
• Practical tools that support connection, regulation, and emotional resilience over time
No prior experience with tapping or herbalism is needed.
This is a warm, relaxed, and welcoming space for parents to learn, explore, and connect.
