NET Tapping

There has been so much hope about tapping and maybe you are wondering whether it actually works or if it’s just a fad that will just go away.

I can tell you hand on heart that tapping is a life changing tool that can help you tackle challenges, let go of past hurt and focus on your objectives. Not only have I experienced it first hand but I have seen so many transformations occur when tapping with my clients and the results somehow always surprise me.

And the good news is that you can start feeling the benefits of tapping from the very first session!

Tapping is also known as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is a holistic therapy combination of Ancient Chinese Acupressure and Modern Psychology talk therapy. It involves using the fingers to gently tap on the body's acupuncture points (our energy points) along the meridian lines of Chinese medicine.

Trauma, shocks, limiting beliefs, negative emotions such as anger, fear, stress and anxiety can disrupt our energy when we hold on to them or struggle to process and release them. Tapping can help us process and let go of these issues, emotions or trauma we are battling with and can assist in restoring balance and energy flow. Its aim is to help us find relief, relaxation and supports healing around emotional or physical issues holding us back from living a fulfilled life.

The Tapping Basics

We tap on the acupuncture points while focusing temporarily on the issue that we are trying to resolve. It can sound quite daunting to bring our challenges and issues to the forefront of the mind but rest assured that you are fully supported throughout the session and a really gentle approach is taken.

Tapping on the points can help clear or release blocked or stagnant energy and negative emotions by directing energy through these blocked channels, making us calmer and lighter. It also accesses the stress centres in our brains and enables us to relax despite the fact that we are focusing on negative thoughts or experiences. It can also train our mind and body to remain calm and relaxed when these stressful thoughts come to our mind. When we reach a state of relaxation through tapping, we start to see things differently and the transformation begins. It can help us accept certain situations and also make us more open to different perspectives. It can even bring on solutions/realisations that can help us move forward.

The Magic behind Tapping
Quite a few of my clients have commented on how relaxed they feel after a session and that they would love to have a nap.

The number of sessions that is needed varies from client to client. It depends on the nature of your challenge and how deep-rooted the issue is. It also depends on the number of experiences, painful memories that are contributing to how you are feeling. The success of tapping is also linked to identifying the root cause of the issue. The bonus of doing tapping with me is that I also apply my coaching knowledge during the session to get to the heart of the issue that we need to tackle.

Tapping can be used for anything from strong emotions like anger or worry, anxiety and stress to physical pain, cravings, phobias, trauma and limiting beliefs etc. It can also provide that much needed boost that will get you closer and closer to your goal.

Personally tapping has really helped me along my journey in many different ways. During a time when some health issues took all the joy out of socialising and made me want to retreat (I actually did turn into a hermit for a little while), tapping saved me. It helped manage my anxiety, deal with changes that I was struggling to accept and reintroduce the things I loved without trepidation. As another example, tapping helped me process the trauma associated with an accident that I experienced some years ago. It changed my perspective and allowed me to see how this unpleasant event had nudged me into a better life. The benefits that I have and continue to experience have pushed me to become an EFT practitioner who cannot wait to share all she has learned.

All sessions are run through Skype, Zoom or on the phone. Prior to the session, you are required to fill a questionnaire that provides an overview of what you are seeking to achieve through tapping. Initial sessions run for 1.5 hour and follow-up sessions usually last an hour.

The sessions start with an exploration of your current challenge. It's important to be as open as possible and share your thoughts and feelings as tapping works bests when we use your own words whilst tapping. We will then go through rounds of tapping by focusing on some of the aspects of the challenge that were discussed. We will pause in between rounds of tapping to check how you are feeling and note any points that may need to be worked on.  At the end of the session, I will answer any questions that you may have and offer any after care advice. I will also send you some oracle card guidance following the session.

All sessions on offer are complementary therapies  that work well with other types of treatment that you may be receiving.
